Sun Skinz swimwear and hats

We were generously given this wonderful bathing suit and hats that provides sun protection from the sun's harmful rays. We love the colors in the yellow palm print. This is sun protection that doesn't wash off!

The shirt is made from tightly woven high density yarn which provides 100 SPF /UPF 50+ maximum broad spectrum UV protection as stated from the company. The material dries quickly and stands up well to chlorine( we found first hand to be true as we tried  bathing suit out at our public swim club) and salt water.

The shorts are sold seperately and retail for $ 22.00 providing the same high quality and sun protection as the shirt, these shorts are not only fashionable but functional as well.

The hats are a wonderful addition that was given to both our daughters as well. They will fit your child from ages 6 monthes to 4 years, adjusting to your child' growth. The chin strap makes it nice to keep hat on with.Hat is made from microfibre which is comfortable and cool. This hat has a excellent protection flap for the easily burned neck and ear regions. Hat retails for $15.00 and is worth every penny for your piece of mind during those hot sunny days at the beach or pool.

Company advocates for effective sun protection regiment... always use sunscreen, uv protection clothing, hats that provide adequate coverage and sunglasses!

Reporting For Duty

Reporting for Duty  is a book filled with coloring and drawing activities and provides children with the knowledge of important historical information while making it a fun reading experience with Barkley the dog as your guide!

This book provides a fun-filled tour through the White House and at the same time creates a special bond of parent and child interaction .

H.K. Gilbert was inspired to write children's books when she saw her daughter's face filled with excitement as they read bed time stories together. She has had amazing opportunities to volunteer for organizations such as project R.E.A.D. , which tutors adults who never had the opportunity to learn to read , other organizations such as The Hillman House-a foundation to help children with Cystic Fibrosis and houses their families during treatments. With all these experiences , the common thread is that she is involved with activities that give back! It is her hope that she will inspire someone to be a volunteer in their community and for a parent to spend quality readingtime with their child, for they are the future of our world!

Home made tree ornaments

In addition to our regular tree we decided this year to dedicate a tree just for our girls, Kennedy and Alexa. We decorated it with all handmade ornaments and colored lights and strands of popcorn and fruitloops.

Pictured here are just some easy ornaments that you can put together in a flash using basic ingredients in your home. Reindeer, Pasta spiral tree, Gumdrops star and the marshmallow snowman are just a few of the ornaments I did this year with our girls. We put the dates on the back of each ornament so we can look back years from now and remember when we did these.

If you see an ornament you like and would like step by step instruction, please contact me @ Kristine@CreativeMommying.com
Most of the ornaments are self explanatory though and need no further explanation.

Happy Holidays!

Please send me your creative ideas so I can share your ideas with my friends and followers.

Gingerbread ornament

Gingerbread ornaments are a cute way to add some fun to your tree this year.  Easy to make and fun for the whole family to enjoy!
Whip up your favorite Gingerbread recipe for starters.  Get baking ! When cool, start decorating. We used white icing, glitter, gumdrops, small colorful candies to add. You can use whatever you like or go with the theme colors of your tree.

When all of your decorations are dry add your hangers. I had red velvet ribbon that I cut and used a hole puncher to form a hole in ribbon to hang. Using a hot glue gun, I applied my ribbon to the back of the gingerbread man.Once dry your are now able to hang your adorable handmade ornament on your tree and watch your children's faces light up.....so proud that they contributed to making their tree special .

Dr.Bloom's Chewable jewels

The idea was conceptualized when Dr. Bloom, who was 7 months pregnant was playing with her nephews and watching them drool on her jewelry which was not only dangerous to their teeth it was messy as well. Since children will chew on anything in front of them the choice seemed to be not wear any jewelry at all or come up with something safe they can chew on.

4 months later the first prototype was designed for her own two month old and the company was formed!

It's comforting to know that as a Dentist Dr Bloom invented the product for her own child with their safety in mind. All the jewelry is FDA approved, free of harmful chemicals and materials, and are both durable and stylish.

This teething "Chewable Jewel " is  moms prayer' s answered in one product -happy baby = happy mom!! check out

SuperStarz

Hair Salon for kids

I recently decided to give this hair salon a try for my girls haircuts. After all I got a coupon for $2.00 off and I thought I would try it since I haven't really found a salon specifically  for children in my area.

I was greeted warmly and promptly by the stylists who took my daughter's over to their chair of choice. Each chair is a different ride, a purple jeep ( a big hit with my daughters! ) ,motorcycle, police car and funky  leopard print chairs for the mommas who needed a cut or new style. I decided to get my hair cut there while I was waiting for the girls to get theirs and I have to say my stylist was great!

My daughters felt comfortable in the fun chairs and the stylists made them feel at ease while giving them a really good haircut.
They  took her time and knew exactly what I was looking for  for both of my daughters! Loved the attention to detail we all got there. At the end they offered a little colored fun for their hair and of course pink and yellow was their chosen colors -their fav's!

The best part was that there was toys galore for them to play with, a movie playing, cozy couches to sit on, a stage for the "superstarz " to show off their new "do's " and boutique with fun stuff to buy and take home too!

I would highly recommend this kids salon to any mom wanting a great cut for their child and even themselves too.

They don't have a website but easy to get to and they take walk-ins as well!

I give this salon 2 thumbs up!!
