Graduation Cap Cookies

I made these cookies for my daughter's end of the year party .

They are so easy to make but not a good choice if any of your child's friends have peanut allergies!

We were lucky-none of ours do!

You will need: mini reese peanut butter cups. Chocolate covered graham cookies. Red hots or in my case , I used red juju beads. Red licorice. Peanut butter.

Take peanut butter cup and place upside down , affix graham cracker to it with peanut butter.

To finish cap, cut juju bead in half to represent part of tassel and use peanut butter to secure to cookie.
Take red licorice, cut to size and place next to juju bead holding it secure with peanut butter to complete tassel.

Congratulations to the Graduates 2010 !!!

Dream Big Toy Company-Go! Go! Sports Girls

My oldest daughter was tickled pink with delight to get her very own Go!Go! sports doll! The gymnastic doll named Maya  is fitting for her since she loves gymnastics!

She loves playing with Maya on her own balance beam!

A little about the founder Jodi......She spent two years launching the product with her 10 year old daughter as her consultant who knew exactly what she wanted in a doll !

“The whole point of the business is to send the message to girls to dream big and go for it.” says Jodi. In addition to providing a positive message for girls, Jodi is donating a portion of the proceeds to organizations that share her mission.

Their Motto : Go! Go! Sports Girls know it is important to exercise everyday, eat healthy foods, get a good night’s sleep of 9 to 10 hours per night and to appreciate and be true to yourself! Go! Go! Sports Girls want you to Dream Big and Go For It!

Dream Big Toy Company created Go! Go! Sports Girls as a fun and educational way to promote self-appreciation and the benefits of daily exercise, healthy eating and sleeping habits, self-esteem and overall healthy life-skills among youths 3-12 years, regardless of race and socioeconomic class.

All you need is a empty baby food rectangular container a popsicle stick and a few buttons.

This adorable hat was made for me for Mother's day at my daughters school and I never felt so proud wearing it!

If you would like to make one for your mom, grandmom , sister or aunt, here's how you do it ..........

You will need an industrial size coffee filter < you can find these online if you google it>.
crepe paper ( any color )
ink stamps ( various colors, styles )
tissue paper ( several colors to make flower )

Start by having your child stamp their design pattern all over hat, once dry affix crepe paper bow around middle by emerging your hand underneath to create center. Adhere with tape or glue.

For the finishing touch, create a tissue paper flower for the front of hat by using three colored pieces of tissue paper of various size circles .

Fold front portion of hat upward and staple on your flower.

This craft is a fun and good idea to make with your children for other special events such as Kentucky Derby party, tea parties or anytime a hat is appropiate!

Happy Mother's DAY!!!!
