Snow Ice Cream

I got this recipe from my friend Chantelle and thought it was worth trying .

4-5 cups of fresh, clean snow, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 T of vanilla, and 1 cup of milk. Mix to desired consistency.

Prep Time 20 min Serves 8

When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes (right about now you can just scoop it out out the back door!)

When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once

Motherhood movie

I received this hilarious movie " motherhood " from  Koch Entertainment. Its pretty self explanatory -raising children and all the challenges us mommies face but in a funny and entertaining way!

Actress Uma Thurman potrays an urban, stay at home mom of two, in this new comedy. Other actors include, Minnie Driver and Anthony Edwards.

Motherhood takes place in New York 's West Village. Being a mommy is full of daunting to-do lists sometimes and Motherhood is full of them, along with chaotic and embarrassing scenes that we all have experienced one time or another with being a mommy.
I would recommend watching this with some of your closet mommy friends that can relate to this movie and be prepared to laugh!

Candy Roses

I made these edible roses for my daughter's preschool class for their Valentine's day party. With easy step by step instructions, you can too.

1st take wooden skewers and paint them green to represent the stem of a rose.

Once dry, wash strawberries and pat them dry so pink chocolate will adhere. Stick skewer into strawberry.

Dip strawberry in pink chocolate and put in refrigerator for 5 minutes to harden.

Once hardened, hot glue on some leaves on the skewers. You can use real such as mint leaves, I used construction paper.

Stick in vase and let your child hand out these edible roses to her "buds"!

Enjoy!

The Playful Chef

We recently hired this amazing entrepreneur for our oldest daughter's 4th birthday party. My daughter loves to cook with mommy and calls herself a "cooker" so it was an easy decision to go with a cooking theme for her party.

I contacted The playful chef and spoke to chef Alisa and right from the start I knew I made the right decision. She was very professional, very thorough and very sweet too! She did EVERYTHING ! From set-up to clean up -she kept all of our guests entertained to the fullest and every child left having had a blast!

The "Chefs" made pizzas and cupcakes for desert and did crafts while the pizzas were cooking!

I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering having a cooking themed party.

The party is great for ages 4 through 12. She thought of everything and I got to enjoy my guests at this party because she was so involved with every aspect !!

I didn't even have to take pictures, she takes them and sends them to you on a CD!! -what a nice change from my normal parties where I don't even get a chance to eat .

This was by far my easiest birthday party I have ever planned -thanks to chef Alisa !
